A 27-year-old Manhattan man was found dead in Newtown Creek in Brooklyn, less than a week after he went missing after attending an EDM concert in Brooklyn, N.Y., nightclub.

The 27-year-old Manhattan man that was found dead in Newtown Creek was identified as John Castic, a Goldman Sachs analyst.

The Manhattan man was said to be a senior analyst at Goldman Sachs who recently moved from Chicago to New York City. The friends and relatives of the Manhattan man described him as charismatic and responsible; therefore Castic not going home was seen as “atypical behavior” by those who knew him.

The body of the Manhattan man John Castic has been identified by the New York Police Department after the body was discovered last Tuesday. The cause of death of the Manhattan man has not been determined yet.

Sara Kostecka, a close friend of the missing Manhattan man, posted about his disappearance on social media. The Manhattan man was reported as missing by his friends after he left a Friday night Zeds Dead show early.

The Manhattan man was said to be the second 27-year-old to be found dead on the said creek after leaving alone a concert at the same venue.

In a New York Post report, a man spotted the Manhattan man bloated and face-down and floating, the man immediately contacted authorities. NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit was sent to scene to retrieve the dead body of the Manhattan man. Aside from drowning, it was said that the there was no sign of other cause of death of the Manhattan man aside from drowning.

In the report, it was mentioned that aside from the Manhattan man John Castic, Karl Clemente another 27-year-old man was found in the creek. The death of Clemente did not seem suspicious.

The city councilwoman, Jennifer Gutierrez, representative of the 34th District has said that officials have been saying for years that the said area is not always a safe place.
