Authorities in Michigan have identified the 15-year-old gunman in Tuesday’s deadly shooting as Ethan Crumbley.

In a press conference Wednesday, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald announced that Ethan Crumbley has been identified as the suspect in the shooting massacre at Oxford High School.

Four students were killed and seven others were injured after the suspect opened fire at the school, about 30 miles outside of Detroit. As previously reported, authorities said Crumbley surrendered without a struggle, but that he refused to speak with investigators, apparently because his parents advised him not to.

Crumbley is facing numerous charges, including four counts of first degree-murder. He is being charged as an adult, meaning he faces life in prison if convicted.

“It was absolutely premeditated.,” McDonald said.
