After going missing while swimming at Surfers Paradise on Wednesday night, the family of missing jockey Chris Caserta has been alerted that the search for him has been reduced down to finding his body.
After rigorous search operations ranging from South Stradbroke Island to Burleigh Heads failed to discover Mr. Caserta, Senior Sergeant Jay Notaro of the Gold Coast Water Police and Search Commander declared that the time window for his survival had expired.

Jockey: Is Chris Caserta Body Found?
Police have verified to the family of missing jockey Chris Caserta that the search is for his body is still on.
They still haven’t found the missing body.
Searchers have been scanning the water and the beach on jet skis and ATVs while the surf rescue helicopter conducted an aerial search.
However, authorities determined that Caserta had no chance of survival.
Senior-Sergeant Jay Notaro of the Gold Coast Water Police said he had the terrible task of informing Caserta’s parents in Victoria that the search and rescue attempt had ended.
It is a tragedy at any time, but incredibly shortly before Christmas, when everyone else is enjoying the holiday season, his family must be grieving over him missing.
According to Senior-Sergeant Jay Notaro, the police will continue their search, and their objective is to restore Chris to his family.

Chris Caserta Missing Update: Presumed Dead
Chris Caserta, a missing Victorian jockey, is assumed dead, according to Queensland Police, and rescue operations are now focussed on retrieving his remains.
Caserta, 26, went swimming with a 25-year-old lady at Surfers Paradise beach off the Esplanade at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
He has no chance of survival, according to police. They stated that they were looking for Chris’s body because the time limit for survival had expired.
He says the search circumstances aren’t ideal, with 20-knot gusts, a rough one-meter surf, and poor water quality following this week’s heavy rain.

It seems like Chris Caserta doesn’t have a wife as he isn’t married.
The family of missing Chris hasn’t shared their identity with the public. His family must be going through a rough patch as they lost a loved one.
While the hunt was underway, Queensland racing minister Grace Grace expressed her sympathies to Caserta’s family in parliament on Thursday.
Chris sent her condolences to the family and friends of jockey Chris Caserta, who went missing following a late-night swim at Surfers Paradise.

Caserta, 26, went swimming with a 25-year-old lady at Surfers Paradise beach off the Esplanade at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
The couple became separated in a rip, and the lady managed to swim to safety before spectators contacted authorities.
