In a tragic turn of events, a woman in Washington has been apprehended following accusations of fatally stabbing her 4-year-old son. The incident has left the Seattle community in shock.

Authorities were alerted to the disturbing scene by the child’s father, who made a frantic call to 911. During the call, he expressed concern over the mother’s alarming talk of suicide. As the call progressed, he was heard in distress, exclaiming, “she killed him,” as reported by The Seattle Times.

Upon arriving at the apartment, responding officers encountered a heart-wrenching sight. The father had discovered his young son facedown in the bathtub, and the mother was found nearby, her hands stained with blood. She reportedly uttered cryptic phrases such as “he’s gone” and “they made me do it” while being taken into custody.

Inside the bathroom, police observed the boy’s fully-clothed body submerged in approximately four inches of bloody water. A kitchen knife was found at the scene, further implicating the mother in this harrowing act.

In a chilling statement to the police, the mother claimed she had “sacrificed” her son, attributing her actions to his “odd” behavior, which she described as “licking countertops and jumping around.” She also mentioned that her son was autistic, as reported by KING.

Authorities revealed that after inflicting a fatal stab wound to her son’s chest, the mother purportedly ran through the hallways, screaming about what she had done. She later confessed that it took several minutes for her son to succumb to his injuries and that she had filled the bathtub with water in an attempt to “comfort him,” according to The Seattle Times.

The 45-year-old mother has not been publicly named as she has not been formally charged. She remains jailed on $5 million bail.
