An Indiana woman was found shot to death on the floor of her bedroom Tuesday night.

Anderson Police said they were called to 37-year-old Andrea Aguirre’s home at about 7:30 p.m. by her estranged husband, who said he had gone to check on her and their children when she didn’t respond to his attempts to reach her, the Indianapolis Star reported.

The children, both toddlers, were found unharmed, police said, and are with family. Investigators did not say if they were in the home when their mother was killed.
