On August 5, 2008, an individual at the beach close to where Silver King Resort used to be, west of Port Angeles, Washington, discovered a shoe. Inside the shoe was a sock and what seemed to be human remains.
It was not the first discovery of its kind—and would not be the last—but today, the person behind the foot has been identified.
Since 2007, over 20 human feet, frequently in sneakers, have been found washed up along the Salish Sea located in British Columbia, Canada, and Washington state. Joseph Scott Morgan and Dave Mack delve into the mystery and provide insights into the efforts at Othram, revealing how forensic specialists identified the remains—and how the public can contribute to the investigation.
Othram collaborates with forensic scientists, medical examiners, and law enforcement to solve cases when other methods have failed.
