Authorities in Oklahoma are delving into a troubling situation involving a 14-year-old girl, who is pregnant with twins, and is alleged to have been a surrogate for her mother and her mother’s boyfriend.
In December 2025, police were called to an apartment complex in Oklahoma City following reports of a “possible sexual assault,” according to local news outlet KFOR.
Following the initial police response, Child Protective Services (CPS) became involved and their referral indicated that the teenage girl was expecting twins. The referral also pointed to the potential father being the 36-year-old boyfriend of the girl’s mother.
Court documents have revealed that the girl’s mother claimed her daughter “desperately” wanted more siblings. She allegedly informed investigators that both she and her boyfriend desired to have children together, but she was unable to conceive due to having undergone a tubal ligation.
Despite these claims, the mother denied that she allowed her boyfriend to engage in a sexual relationship with her daughter. Nevertheless, police have obtained a search warrant to collect a DNA sample from the boyfriend to determine paternity.
As of now, it is not confirmed whether investigators have successfully secured the DNA sample.
Even if the pregnancy is not the result of sexual assault, according to the Oklahoma Bar Association, a “gestational carrier must be 21 years old.”
KFOR reported last month that the victim has been placed in protective custody and is expected to give birth to the twins later this month.
As of now, no arrests have been made.
However, authorities may face challenges if criminal charges are filed since the victim’s mother has reportedly moved to the California area after her children were removed from the home.
Authorities are also uncertain of the boyfriend’s current whereabouts.
The Oklahoma City Police Department continues to review the evidence as it determines the next steps in this ongoing investigation.
