A suspect involved in an Orlando police shooting that sent 2 officers in a hospital, has died during a gunfight with the police in a hotel.

Suspect, Daton S. Viel, 28, was killed during the Orlando police shooting encounter at the Holiday Inn in 5900 block of Caravan Court.

An Orlando police shooting happened at a Florida hotel between police and a suspect who had shot two officers who were sent to a hospital for sustaining severe injuries. The suspect, who apparently had an extensive history of violence and criminal activities, was eventually killed in the Orlando police shooting confrontation.

On Friday night, at around 11 p.m., an Orlando police shooting started when two officers were shot while investigating a vehicle in relation to a murder case in Miami. After shooting the officers, the suspect fled the scene after stealing another car and the police pursued him.

Following an area-wide manhunt, the suspect was tracked at a Holiday Inn on Caravan Court. The SWAT team arrived at 6 a.m. and safely evacuated the hotel guests. The suspect was said to have barricaded himself in a room and refused to surrender despite multiple attempts to get him to surrender.

During the said Orlando police shooting, the suspect fired at the Authorities forcing them to fire back shots, killing the Orlando police shooting suspect.

In an ABC News report, during the Orlando police shooting, the severely injured officers were said to be transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center. The Health officials said that the severely injured officers during the Orlando police shooting were expected a full recover from their injuries.

The Orlando Police Chief, Eric Smith shared in a statement that the two police officers were lucky to be alive after the Orlando police shooting incident.

The mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer, thanked the involved law enforcement officers in a social media statement, for ensuring that the suspect of the Orlando police shooting will ‘no longer’ be a threat to the community.
