A Pennsylvania man was arrested last week for allegedly breaking a 3-year-old boy’s leg.
An article by Lancaster Online disclosed that Michael Torres, 27, was accused of fracturing a toddler’s femur after reportedly hitting the child’s thigh multiple times. The incident led to the toddler’s hospitalization on July 20, with Torres allegedly admitting to causing the injuries in a moment of rage.
The report indicated that Torres confessed to striking the boy’s upper right thigh with his hand out of frustration over the child’s refusal to sleep. During a conversation with the police, Torres allegedly mentioned that he told himself, “I’m going to give him something to cry about.”
Torres’ relationship to the victim was not disclosed.
Torres was charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children. His bail was set at $75,000.
