Gaurav Kundi, 42, who became unresponsive during the arrest is currently at the Royal Adelaide Hospital on life support.
9News obtained some video of the arrest.
It shows Kundi being forced onto the road in the city’s eastern suburbs as he and his partner scream that he had done nothing wrong.
The father-of-two lost consciousness.
His partner, Amritpal Kaur, said she stopped filming as one of the officers drove their knee into her partner’s neck.
Two officers can be seen struggling with Kundi as he is forced to the ground.
The commissioner confirmed that both officers were still carrying out their duties.
9News chose not to identity the pair as an internal investigation is under way, but can confirm they are experienced officers.
9News has asked police about the partner’s claims and whether both officers had their body worn cameras switched on, but so far they have not been able to answer those questions.
