An Ohio man accused of shooting a bar patron he was feuding with later reportedly bragged and laughed about the incident while in jail.

Jacob Brady, aged 27, faces charges of assault and possessing a hidden weapon after an incident at a bar in Dayton. Law&Crime accessed court papers revealing that Dayton Police reacted to reports of gunfire at Pat’s Bar early on June 22. Upon reaching the scene, the police were informed by witnesses of a shooting, with a bartender providing video proof.

Police claims suggest that Brady allegedly shot a 23-year-old man, whose identity remains undisclosed, due to the latter being involved with a woman Brady was interested in dating. Witness accounts indicated that the woman had no interest in Brady.

Local NBC affiliate WDTN reported that the alleged victim used a ride-share service to reach the hospital, where he was reported to be in critical condition.

Police said in court documents that Brady confessed to shooting the man, claiming that he did it because the other man was making threats. Witnesses at the bar disputed that, telling police they did not hear any threats being made by the alleged victim. According to court documents, the security video provided by the bartender showed Brady allegedly firing two rounds at the victim. Casings were also found at the bar in the location where the alleged shooting took place.

After Brady was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail, police said he was “laughing” about the incident, and was heard by other inmates saying, “I’m gonna put that on a t-shirt — ‘BLAM, that boy down.'”
