A Minnesota man allegedly admitted to stabbing his roommate to death after the two men had an argument over $15.
Sincir Malik Porter, aged 21, is currently incarcerated at Hennepin County Jail, with bail set at $1 million, following charges for the murder of his 25-year-old roommate, Abdirahman Adan Abdirahman. As per a statement of probable cause obtained by Law&Crime, authorities responded to emergency calls from a Minneapolis, Minnesota address on Sunday, where they encountered “a significant amount of blood on the floor and walls in the living room.”
Abdirahman was found on the floor with a stab wound to his neck. He was immediately taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, witnesses reported that Porter was seen having a confrontation with Abdirahman before allegedly attacking him. Witnesses further claimed that Porter allegedly stabbed Abdirahman in the neck before escaping from the residence.
One witness told police that they thought Porter had just “punched” Abdirahman before seeing blood coming from his neck. Porter reportedly told one witness that Abdirahman “made me flash out.” Witnesses also told police that the home had surveillance cameras that may have captured the alleged altercation — and they were right.

According to the statement, police got the surveillance video and observed Porter and Abdirahman “arguing over $15.” Porter was seen holding a knife in one hand during the verbal altercation, then switching hands and allegedly stabbing Abdirahman once.
Abdirahman was seen on the video getting ready to fight back, seemingly not realizing that he had been stabbed. He was then seen collapsing to the ground.
Porter was found by police in another part of the neighborhood. Upon seeing the officers, Porter reportedly said, “Yeah, you got me.”
After being read his rights, Porter allegedly admitted to stabbing Abdirahman and told police he had thought about killing him and his other roommates in the past. Porter told police that his other roommates “were lucky they didn’t get in his way.”
Porter was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder. He is currently in custody at the Hennepin County Jail on $1 million bond. He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
