The search for triple homicide suspect Travis Decker intensifies as Washington state authorities unveil further details surrounding the scene where his three young daughters were tragically found deceased.

Decker, 32, has been evading capture since he was last observed on May 30 after collecting his daughters — Paityn, age 9, Evelyn, age 8, and Olivia, age 5 — for a scheduled visit. He failed to return them, and days later, the girls were discovered dead. On Monday, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office released new details of the crime scene, including DNA results that point to Decker as the sole suspect in the murders of his daughters.

In a statement released on Monday, more insights were shared on the condition in which the three daughters, who were determined to have died from suffocation, were discovered on June 2. According to earlier reports by Law&Crime, all three girls had plastic bags covering their heads, with their wrists bound by zip-ties. The latest update revealed, “Two of the victims each had two bags over their heads, and the third had three bags over their head.”

Investigators reported that DNA analysis from the scene indicated matches between the samples taken from the plastic bags and Decker, as well as the three girls. Moreover, the DNA profiles from the zip-ties also matched Decker. Authorities declared, “This DNA analysis provides further evidence confirming Travis Decker as the only individual responsible for the crimes.”

Authorities previously stated that DNA taken from a bloody handprint found on a truck near the scene where the girls were found also matched Decker.

Despite uncovering new crime scene information, authorities acknowledged no progress has been made in locating Decker since his disappearance. As of July 25, the Chelan County authorities noted a decline in leads and tips regarding Decker’s whereabouts, resulting in a scaled-down efforts by law enforcement.

Decker has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of kidnapping in connection with the deaths of his daughters.

The public is advised that if they spot Travis Decker, they should immediately contact 911 and avoid any interaction or confrontation with him. Individuals possessing information are encouraged to reach out to their nearest U.S. Marshals office, call the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102, or submit tips through USMS Tips.
