A Rebels bikie member has been charged after police allegedly uncovered a video of a caged cat being fatally shot at point-blank range on his phone.

Raptor Squad officers stopped a 29-year-old man driving an allegedly stolen Hino 300 truck on Woodville Road in the Western Sydney suburb of Villawood on June 28. 

Police searched the truck and found balaclavas, bolt cutters and gloves.

The man’s phone was seized, and he was released pending further investigation. 

Police forensically examined his phone and allegedly found evidence of gun use, including a video of a caged cat being shot and killed at point-blank range.

Days later on July 2, officers with a search warrant stormed a home in Rosemeadow.

They allegedly found and seized the butt of a rifle, a taser, $18,400 in cash, 170 vials of human growth hormones, a CCTV and a ‘Rebels’ branded vest.

The 29-year-old was arrested at the address and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with driving a vehicle that was taken without the consent of the owner, possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit and possessing a restricted substance.

He was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court on July 3, where he was granted conditional bail.

Investigations into the man continued.

Police rearrested the man in Rosemeadow and again taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

He was further charged with using an unauthorised prohibited firearm, firing a firearm manner likely to injure persons/property and torture, beat etc and causing the death of an animal.

The man was refused bail and will face Campbelltown Local Court today.
