A Florida man was arrested last week for allegedly throwing urine-filled bottles in a business — hitting an employee and causing damages.
According to WTSP, 51-year-old John Connaughton vandalized Doors, Moulding & More in St. Petersburg on Friday after being denied a job interview. Connaughton allegedly approached the business’s entrance and threw bottles filled with urine, resulting in $1,000 worth of damages.
It was reported that an employee chased Connaughton away when the urine splashed onto his bare legs. WFLA noted that during the pursuit, Connaughton menaced the employee by raising a skateboard in a threatening manner.
Connaughton was arrested on charges of battery, criminal mischief, and aggravated assault. His bond was set at $22,500.
Records show that Connaughton is a registered sex offender due to a 2004 conviction for committing lewd or lascivious acts with a 16-year-old. Since that conviction, he has been arrested twice for failing to adhere to registration laws.
