A couple’s cat camera has captured two thieves ransacking their home in Queensland.

The pair were filmed at Summer Robson’s home in Beenleigh stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewellery, gaming consoles, keys, cash and handbags.

“All of our stuff was gone, sentimental things from like my grandparents and his late father,” Robson said.

“It was horrible. They took everything that they thought they could sell.”

Robson said the pair appeared calm, “like they had been doing this and it didn’t faze them”.

The thieves made their way through the home unaware their every move was being caught on a camera that is used to keep an eye on the Robson family’s pet cat.

They were seen filling duffle bags with items from around the home.

“I think maybe five of our own duffle bags and stuff, full of just clothes,” Robson said.

“I haven’t even gone through everything that I think is missing yet, like there’s so much missing.”

Police said the pair are aged in their 30s and remain on the run.

They are believed to be behind a string of break-ins in the south-east, including one at a young couple’s first home together in Cannon Hill.

The thieves left the home trashed and took off with irreplaceable jewellery and vital medication.

“Seeing that all gone really hit hard, but also my partner’s gaming consoles they stole,” the victim, who didn’t want to be named, said.

“I think about three laptops and a couple of iPhones and iPads.

“At least $10,000 worth of stuff is just gone.”

The thieves then returned to the suburb on Anzac Day and targeted two more homes in the same apartment block.

“It’s just disappointing … we can still feel them here,” the victim said.

“This is our first home together and it’s almost tainted.”
