Seven people have now been charged with a disgusting sexual abuse case in Alabama in which children were raped and tortured in an underground bunker.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced three new arrests, including two women, on Wednesday, WBRC reported.

As reported by CrimeOnline, the sheriff’s office launched their investigation into the case at the start of February, initially apprehending William McElroy. A second individual, Dalton Terrell, 21, was implicated in the case in late April—this was following his arrest on accusations of paying adults for sexual access to their children, though it’s not clear if this incident is connected to the underground bunker.

Shortly after Terrell’s arrest, Andres Trejo-Velazquez faced charges as well. A fourth individual, 23-year-old Timothy St. John, was indicted and detained on Tuesday, according to WBRC.

Terrell and McElroy face charges of sodomy and rape, with McElroy also facing a kidnapping charge. Additionally, Terrell, Trejo-Velazquez, and McElroy are charged with human trafficking.

St. John was charged with two counts of first-degree rape, four counts of sodomy, four counts of human trafficking, three counts of kidnapping, one count of bestiality, and one count of cruelty to animals, WBMA reported.

The latest arrestees were identified as Sara Louise Terrell, Rickey Terrell, and Rebecca Cecile Brewer, according to WBRC. Sara Terrell was charged with sexual torture/abuse and sexual abuse of a child under 12. Rickey Terrell has been charged with first degree rape, and Brewer was hit with eight counts of human trafficking, eight counts of kidnapping, and three counts of sexual torture.

Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade said the traffickers were making up to $1,000 a night and that investigators believe the abuse began in 2022.

Assistant District Attorney Bryan Jones previously said six children were drugged and taken to the underground bunker in Brent, where they were sexually abused. The victims ranged in age from 3 to 10.

“I know God’s forgiveness is boundless, but if there is a limit, we reached it,” said Wade.

Wade also said that more charges are possible as investigators identify more victims.
