Local police have assured the community that “every specialist resourse” is at their disposal in the hunt for Desmond Filby, aka Dezi Freeman.

“Additional members from across the state are assisting the local police with searches, patrols and responding to calls for assistance from the local community,” a post on the Eyewatch – Wodonga Police Service Area Facebook page read.

“There has been extensive support received from our partner agencies and while for operational reasons we cannot go into all the specifics of the search, rest assured the police response is dedicated and substantial.

“Police continue to advise people to remain vigilant and stay indoors where possible while the search for this suspect continues.

“Residents will continue to be updated on the status of the search through emergency messaging, social and traditional media.”
