In Arizona, authorities apprehended a 25-year-old man this week, charging him with child abuse after his girlfriend recorded him assaulting her young child.
According to the Bullhead City Police, Ora Ray Carson II faces charges of child abuse and aggravated assault.
The child’s mother revealed to police that she and Carson had been dating for approximately two months. During this time, she noticed her 2-year-old daughter often had unexplained bruises, scratches, and other injuries after being with Carson. Concerned, she discreetly set up her phone to capture footage when she stepped out of the room.
The footage captured Carson repeatedly hitting the toddler on the head. Officers who responded to the scene observed injuries on the child that aligned with physical abuse.
The girl was initially treated at a local hospital before being transferred to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas for further medical care.
