Man allegedly bites police officer on the ear at Adelaide KFC
A man will face court in Adelaide today after allegedly biting a police officer on the ear in a KFC outlet overnight.

Authorities were summoned to a fast-food outlet located on Pulteney Street, near the bustling Rundle Mall, shortly before 11:30 PM.

The call reported a man who was not only refusing to vacate the premises but also inciting a commotion.

According to allegations, after the police were notified, the individual leaped over the counter and physically attacked three staff members.

Upon confronting the suspect, officers faced resistance as the man allegedly struck a police officer and bit him on the ear.

The man, identified as a 23-year-old from Bridgewater, was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including assaulting a police officer.

The officer required medical treatment. (9News)

He is scheduled to appear in court today to address the charges against him.

The police officer required treatment for facial injuries but SAPOL said he remained in high spirits.

The three fast food workers were not physically injured in the attack but were left shaken, police said.
