A shocking road rage incident in Wisconsin saw a 19-year-old man violently assault an 81-year-old driver, leaving the elderly man severely injured. The altercation erupted in October after the teenager, frustrated by what he considered slow driving, attacked the senior citizen.
According to reports from WISN, the young driver, Oliver McSorley, began tailgating the older man, prompting the victim to intentionally slow his vehicle. In response, McSorley aggressively overtook the senior and sharply moved back into his lane.
The situation escalated when the elderly man collided lightly with McSorley’s bumper at a traffic light. Both drivers pulled over, leading to a heated exchange. During the confrontation, McSorley brutally attacked the older man, knocking him to the ground until bystanders intervened.
After fleeing the scene, McSorley later surrendered to authorities. While in custody, he made a disturbing phone call to his mother, expressing regret only for not inflicting more harm. “I should have beaten the s*** out of him… he is lucky he only has a concussion,” McSorley bluntly stated in a call recorded by jail officials, as reported by The Freeman.
The elderly victim sustained severe injuries, including bleeding from his ears and an eye, multiple cuts and bruises, and a concussion. This violent episode underscores the dangerous potential of road rage and serves as a grim reminder of its consequences.
The victim had blood coming from both ears and an eye, numerous cuts and bruises, and a concussion.
McSorley’s only criminal record was a traffic fine in March for driving 106 mph.
He was charged on Tuesday with a felony count of battery to an elderly person and ordered back in court on February 5 after he was released, WISN reported.
