Guthrie family makes desperate appeal for help in heartbreaking statement as search for missing Nancy Guthrie stalls

The Guthrie family is holding onto hope that someone from their mother’s Arizona neighborhood possesses crucial information about her disappearance. This sentiment was shared in an emotional statement regarding their missing 84-year-old mother.

Expressing appreciation for the Tucson community’s support, Nancy Guthrie’s children issued a plea through KVOA on Saturday, urging the public to re-engage with the ongoing search as they approach the seventh week since their mother’s abduction.

“We firmly believe that the residents of Tucson and the larger southern Arizona region can unlock the mystery of this case,” the statement revealed.

“There is someone out there with knowledge. Perhaps a local has a piece of information, unaware of its importance. We implore everyone to reflect on their memories, particularly around key periods—January 31, the early hours of February 1, and the late night of January 11,” the family emphasized.

“We earnestly ask the community to refocus on our mother’s situation—review camera footage, revisit journal entries, text communications, observations, or discussions that, in hindsight, might hold critical clues,” they urged.

“Every detail counts, no matter how insignificant it may seem. It could be the missing piece we need,” they concluded.

The heartbroken family said they miss their mother deeply and won’t find peace until she is home.

“We cannot grieve; we can only ache and wonder,” they said.

“Our focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home. We want to celebrate her beautiful and courageous life. But we cannot do that until she is brought to a final place of rest.

Nancy, mother of “Today” show star Savannah Guthrie, is believed to have been taken from her Tucson, Arizona, home during the early hours of Feb. 1.

She was reported missing after she failed to show up at church, and security footage recovered from her doorbell camera captured a masked man loitering around doorstep the night police believe she was kidnapped.

Police have still not identified any suspects.
