Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, now happily remarried, has a six-month-old daughter. From his previous marriage, he has three children, though that relationship concluded with a tumultuous divorce and ongoing legal issues spanning 15 years.
The divorce between Dr. Mirshojae and his first wife, Ahang Kelk Mirshojae, started in 2009 when he requested a restraining order to prevent her access to their $6 million shared home. He alleged “physical violence” in his petition, claiming Ahang often attacked him. Legal battles have persisted since then. Ahang worked at the Woodland Hills Medical Clinic, which she managed and remained employed at until 2016. Her employment ended when Dr. Mirshojae allegedly discovered her misappropriating a significant amount of funds from the clinic.
Dr. Mirshojae continued his regular duties routinely. After closing the Woodland Hills Medical Clinic and Urgent Care for the evening, he was unexpectedly attacked by a masked assailant near his vehicle at approximately 5:30 p.m. Upon arrival 42 minutes later, the LAPD found the 61-year-old physician suffering a fatal gunshot wound to the back of his head. He was declared dead onsite. Authorities report that a lone gunman exited on foot, with their investigation later connecting his ex-wife to the incident.
