Fifteen-year-old Alisa Petrov, who had been reported missing from Utah, made her way to a police station in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Sunday evening, as stated by authorities in their report.
She is, by their account, safe and sound.
“Alisa is currently in good health and secure with Colorado authorities,” stated officers from South Jordan. “Her parents have been informed of her whereabouts and are collaborating with South Jordan Police to ensure her return home.”
Petrov was last seen on April 21. It was reported she was dropped off at her school in American Fork, Utah, but chose instead to board a train heading to Provo. Authorities allege that she had been engaged in inappropriate online conversations with three men: 35-year-old Matthew Nicholas Menard from Miami, Florida, 41-year-old Samuel Mitchell from Herriman, Utah, and 37-year-old William Taylor Glines from Texas City, Texas.
In particular, Menard allegedly planned on meeting Petrov in Las Vegas. Mitchell allegedly possessed illicit material of two girls, described as aged 12 and 15.
All three men have been arrested.
