In a high-profile legal drama unfolding in Franklin County, Ohio, 39-year-old Illinois surgeon Michael McKee has entered a plea of not guilty to the charges surrounding the tragic deaths of his former wife, Monique Tepe, and her husband, Spencer Tepe. This development comes amidst a backdrop of severe allegations that have captured public attention.

During a recent arraignment, McKee appeared remotely from his holding location at the James A. Karnes Corrections Center. Here, he faced the somber charges of four counts of aggravated murder and an additional charge of aggravated burglary, with the alleged use of a firearm suppressor in the commission of the crimes. Despite the gravity of the accusations, his defense attorney, Diane Menashe, waived any request for bond, as reported by ABC 16.

The incident in question occurred on December 30, when McKee is accused of breaking into the Columbus residence of the Tepe couple and fatally shooting them. Reports suggest an automatic firearm or silencer was used in the harrowing attack, which has left the community in shock, as previously detailed by CrimeOnline.

Throughout the brief hearing, McKee maintained a stoic demeanor, showing neither emotion nor reaction as the charges were read against him. This silence has only added to the intrigue surrounding the case.

A police report, further elaborated by The Columbus Dispatch, reveals the grim details of the crime scene, where Monique was found with a single gunshot wound to the head, and Spencer had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The investigation continues to unravel the complexities of this tragic event.

According to a police report, police found Monique Tepe with a gunshot wound to the head and found Spencer Tepe with numerous gunshot wounds, The Columbus Dispatch reports.

Their two young children were left physically unharmed inside the residence.

Police arrested McKee in Rockford, Illinois, on January 10, after reportedly matching his vehicle to the crime scene. Investigators later found multiple weapons inside his Rockford apartment.

Check back for updates.
