Allaged outlaw bikie accused of posing as ex-soldier
An alleged senior bikie has been accused of impersonating a member of the SAS who served alongside Ben Roberts-Smith.

Authorities have accused Shaun Moffitt of fabricating his military background, claiming he falsely presented himself as a veteran of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and even displayed a military tattoo to bolster his claims.

The 41-year-old, who is purportedly affiliated with the notorious Hells Angels motorcycle gang, was taken into custody in Peelwood, approximately 300 kilometers west of Sydney, according to police reports from yesterday.

Police allege Moffitt's offending took place over eight months and he is set to front court again in June.

Investigators revealed that Moffitt allegedly posed as a former ADF member, asserting that he served alongside Ben Roberts-Smith, one of Australia’s most decorated soldiers, who has faced accusations of war crimes.

Adding to his alleged deceit, Moffitt reportedly bore a tattoo of the Special Air Service Regiment’s insignia, a mark associated with elite military service.

However, authorities contend that there is no evidence of Moffitt’s employment with the ADF, challenging the veracity of his claims.

As a result of these allegations, Moffitt has been charged with the offense of falsely representing himself as a returned soldier, sailor, or airman.

Police allege Moffitt is a high-ranking member of the Hells Angels, a Sergeant at Arms in the brutal “South” chapter of the bikie gang.

If he is convicted of the charges heard in court, he faces up to six months behind bars.
