A teenage boy has been charged over an alleged stabbing attack during a 16th birthday party north of Brisbane.Â
At least one teenager is still recovering in hospital and will require multiple surgeries to his arm after attending a birthday party at Crichton Court in Morayfield on Saturday night.Â
9News understands that a group arriving on the street in a white hatchback allegedly gate-crashed the party with knives and machetes about midnight.
A fight broke out and it’s understood several teenagers and adults were hurt in the chaos.
An 18-year-old sustained a cut to his arm and was transported in a stable condition to Caboolture Hospital, Queensland Ambulance said.
A 30-year-old man was assessed at the scene but he declined transport to hospital.
Another teenager was taken to hospital before Queensland Ambulance arrived.
Police believe there may have been further people who were also injured during the incident.
A search warrant was executed at a home in Burpengary East yesterday, where police arrested a 17-year-old boy.
He has been charged with one count of causing grievous bodily harm and wounding.
He was refused bail and appeared in a Children’s Court today.
Investigations are ongoing and police are urging anyone who was at the party, or who has video footage to come forward.
