A teenage boy will face court after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Sydney’s south-west last night.
At about 10.50pm, emergency services were called to the corner of Nelson and Sackville Street, Fairfield, after reports a vehicle had hit a person and a parked car.
Paramedics treated a 66-year-old man at the scene for serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Two teenagers, both aged 16, were found on Nelson Street a short time later.
Police alleged they were the driver and passenger in the car that hit the man.
The teen accused of being the driver was arrested and charged with multiple offences including causing bodily harm, negligent driving, and failing to stop and help after a crash.
He was given conditional bail and will appear before a children’s court on Monday, August 4.
