A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged after a chemist on the Gold Coast was broken into in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to reports that two people had broken the front glass window of the business on Cheltenham Drive in Robina.
Officers arrested the boy at 3.45am and found an amount of allegedly stolen medication inside a white 2012 Lexus sedan which was parked at the front of the business.
A second male fled the scene on foot.
The Lexus had been reported stolen from a home on Grandview Street in Kuraby on June 6.
The 17-year-old boy from Mount Warren Park has now been charged with one count each of entering a premises and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He was due to appear at the Southport Children’s Court this afternoon.
