In the early morning hours of December 5, a home on Dalton Road in Lalor became the scene of a distressing break-in. Around 3 a.m., two men reportedly forced their way into the front bedroom of the residence, where a woman lay in bed, unaware of the impending danger.
Once inside, the intruders allegedly brandished a knife, threatening the woman, before making off with her bag, which contained her wallet. In addition to this, they seized presents that had been carefully placed beneath the Christmas tree in another part of the house.
Before fleeing, the alleged perpetrators inflicted further damage by smashing the window of the woman’s car and slashing its tyres, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Fortunately, despite the frightening ordeal, the woman was not physically harmed.
Law enforcement officials are treating this as a targeted incident and are actively pursuing leads. Detectives have released CCTV footage capturing the home invasion, hoping the public might recognize the individuals involved who could provide crucial information to aid in the investigation.
