The suspect allegedly also went on social media to detail his plan to shoot up Robb Elementary minutes before doing so

The 18-year-old who allegedly opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday — killing at least 19 children — reportedly got into an argument with his grandmother about not graduating from high school moments before the deadly shooting.

Salvador Ramos’ neighbor, Eduardo Trinidad, told Newsy that Salvador Ramos shot Celia Martinez Gonzales, 66, in the face after she learned he was not going to graduate from Uvalde High School. Trinidad went on to tell the New York Post that he did not witness the dispute between Ramos and Gonzales, but he learned of it through other neighbors after going to Gonzales’ home upon hearing a disturbance.

Gonzales was said to be in critical condition following Tuesday’s shooting.

Governor Greg Abbott alleged Ramos posted online about his plans to shoot his grandmother 30 minutes before opening fire at Robb Elementary School. Minutes after that post, he announced on social media that he just shot his grandmother. He reportedly detailed his plan to shoot up the elementary school 14 minutes before doing so.

Ramos was fatally shot by law enforcement after crashing his truck outside Robb Elementary and barricading himself inside a fourth-grade classroom, where he opened fire. The 19 children and two teachers were all shot in the same classroom.

Reports indicated that Ramos purchased two AR rifles days after his 18th birthday.
