A man was reportedly abducted in front of his tobacco shop in Mount Pritchard on February 24. Surveillance footage captured the moment four masked individuals approached him.
The assailants allegedly attacked the man and forced him into a Hyundai hatchback, despite his attempts to resist.
Fortunately, the victim sustained no injuries and was in stable condition when he was transported to the hospital.
Following the incident, he was taken to Surry Hills Police Station, where he faced several charges, including kidnapping with intent to demand ransom, inflicting actual bodily harm, and participating in and contributing to criminal group activities.
Bail was denied, and he is scheduled to make a court appearance today.
He was refused bail to appear in court today.
There is one individual seen in the CCTV footage who is yet to be found.
