Three teen girls in Texas were arrested on Sunday for trying to kill their mother.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, three girls, aged 14, 15, and 16, attacked their mother in their Houston residence after she disconnected the Wi-Fi. Armed with a kitchen knife, the girls pursued their mother throughout the house and out onto the street, also hitting her with a brick, as reported by KTRK.
Gonzalez said the girls’ grandmother was also knocked down while trying to protect the mother.
The Houston Chronicle noted that Sheriff Gonzalez mentioned the two victims did not suffer serious injuries. The trio of girls now faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and have been taken into custody.
The three girls were not publicly named, presumably due to their ages.
