Authorities in Arizona are delving into a hit-and-run case after a woman was discovered lifeless on a Tucson street on Monday.
Sally Alcaraz Rodriguez, aged 75, was identified as the victim found on the roadway. Police are uncertain about the precise location of the tragic accident, although they revealed her belongings were located just west of her body, as reported by the Arizona Daily Star.
According to KVOA, witness accounts and gathered evidence indicate a vehicle abandoned Rodriguez’s body on the street where she was discovered.
Rodriguez’s family shared with KOLD that she was en route to her job as a caregiver for a centenarian patient on the night of the incident. Her commitment to her work was unwavering.
“The area is poorly lit. Improved visibility might have allowed someone to witness the event and possibly avert the tragedy,” her son-in-law commented.
Investigators are on the lookout for a dark-colored sports car, although they have not released details about the suspect.
Rodriguez’s death is being investigated as a hit-and-run. Anyone who has information regarding this case can call anonymously at 88-CRIME.
