Authorities are intensifying their efforts to locate the driver of a black Audi Q3, implicated in a tragic hit-and-run that claimed the life of a California woman this past Saturday.
According to a report from KTLA, the incident occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Fox Hills Drive in West Los Angeles.
Investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division revealed that the 74-year-old woman was struck while walking southbound in a designated crosswalk.
The vehicle involved is suspected to be an Audi Q3 model from between 2011 and 2018, which was heading west on Pico Boulevard at the time of the accident.
Upon arrival, personnel from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the victim, a local resident whose name has not been disclosed, deceased at the scene.
“The driver of the Audi failed to stop, identify themselves, and provide assistance to the pedestrian, as mandated by law,” stated the LAPD in an official press release.

“A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise,” LAPD stated.
