In a chilling case unfolding in Ohio, a pregnant woman named India Kinamore was tragically shot and killed just hours before she was due to give birth. Prosecutors allege that her former boyfriend orchestrated the murder while she was asleep, a grim twist in a tale of betrayal and violence.

According to court documents, Kayvon Warren, the ex-boyfriend, did not want the child Kinamore was carrying. On the scheduled day of her induced labor, Warren is accused of sending two accomplices, Robert Ervin and Lamar Morris Suggs, to execute his deadly plan. The tragic event took place in Colerain Township on March 4, 2023, with prosecutors stating that Kinamore and her unborn child were both killed in this brutal attack.

As the details unravel, it becomes clear that Warren allegedly took calculated steps to ensure the crime was carried out. Reports from local broadcaster WXIX indicate that he had even requested bereavement leave from work before enlisting Ervin, 20, and Suggs, 22, to assist in the heinous act. Both men now face charges of aggravated murder and burglary, alongside Warren.

The prosecution’s narrative reveals a desperate Warren, entangled in financial woes and a relationship with another woman. Allegedly, the murder was staged to resemble a burglary gone wrong. Kinamore’s refusal to terminate her pregnancy reportedly fueled Warren’s motive, as she had chosen to welcome the child into the world despite his objections.

Tragically, on the day Kinamore was to be induced, Warren and his accomplices struck while she was at home with her 6-year-old son, who heartbreakingly discovered her dying. As the community and family mourn this devastating loss, the legal proceedings continue to shed light on this heart-wrenching case. Local news outlet WKRC underscores the gravity of the crime and the profound impact it has had on all involved.

Prosecutors say Warren had asked her to terminate her pregnancy and she allegedly refused, instead choosing to keep the child. When the day came that she was scheduled to be induced — March 4, 2023 — Warren and his alleged accomplices set upon the mother-to-be while she was home with her 6-year-old son, who found her dying.

“This should have been one of the happiest days of India’s life,” Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said in a statement announcing Warren’s charges, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer.

“Instead, the father of the child conspired with two others to kill her,” Pillich alleged. “It is heartbreaking. My office will see that justice is done for both India and her baby.”

Warren and the others were allegedly in a group chat together and spoke about meeting up that night to murder Kinamore and her unborn child before she could give birth later that day, according to prosecutors. Pillich said Warren’s alleged request for bereavement leave shows the premeditated nature of his crimes, per the Enquirer.

Officers responded to 2369 Hiddenmeadows Drive at around 4:40 a.m. the day Kinamore was killed and found her suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Her 6-year-old son stumbled upon the expectant mother and called his grandmother, saying “My mommy has been shot,” according to family members.

The Colerain Township Police Department announced Warren’s arrest, along with the others, in a press release on Aug. 21.

Warren, Ervin and Suggs have each been charged with aggravated murder, felonious assault, and burglary. Suggs has been locked up in an Ohio prison for unrelated charges.

“I thought that Kayvon was a nice, upstanding gentleman and he turned out to be the complete opposite,” Terri Kinamore, India’s mother, told Fox affiliate WXIX. “A monster, because only a monster would do something like that.”
