A 21-year-old California man allegedly killed another man and injured a woman in a shooting at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Los Angeles.

Humberto Delgado is charged with voluntary manslaughter for the death of 36-year-old Feliciano “Felix” Curiel, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

In a GoFundMe post, Curiel’s family shared that he and his fiancée, Kerin Gonzalez-Molina, had been celebrating their engagement and decided to stop at the East Hollywood McDonald’s for some food. While at the drive-thru, Delgado accused them of hitting his vehicle. The couple denied this, noting that their car was equipped with a sensor to prevent such incidents.

“Where’s the damage?” Curiel asked Delgado in a video Gonzalez-Molina showed to The CW affiliate KTLA.

Delgado allegedly got out of his car and started arguing with them before Curiel got between his fiancee and the suspect.

“Felix threw himself in front of Kerin to protect her. He was shot twice in the heart and died a hero at only 36 years old,” Curiel’s family wrote.

Gonzalez-Molina was shot in the leg.

“He shot me, too,” she said in the video. “What the f—?”

Paramedics rushed Curiel to the hospital, where he died.

According to Curiel’s family, Delgado called cops around an hour later to report the shooting and claimed self-defense.

“But how is this self-defense when there was no accident, no weapon, and no threat of violence?” the family wrote.

Cops arrested Delgado on the voluntary manslaughter charge.

He’s currently in the Los Angeles County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Curiel’s family is seeking funds to cover the expenses of having him buried in Mexico beside his mother, who passed away due to COVID.
