Trio set own car on fire after dousing front door in accelerant

Police are searching for three suspects who are likely to have suffered serious burns after setting their own car on fire in Solomontown in South Australia.

CCTV footage shows two people wearing black hoodies and pants get out of a car on Young Street in Solomontown just after midnight on Monday and splash accelerant at the front of a nearby home.

The pair get back inside the car, which begins to take off down the street before it explodes into flames.

Three people can then be seen abandoning the burning car as it continues to roll down the street.

The occupants of the home were not injured, but police believe the three suspects are likely to have suffered burns and will need medical treatment.

The exterior of the home was charred by the flames.

Police are looking to identify the three suspects and urge anyone with information to come forward.
