A third teenager has been apprehended and charged with murder in connection to the fatal stabbing of a young boy in Sydney’s north-west last month.
Seventeen-year-old Lucas Cornu was tragically stabbed in the leg at Bruce Purser Reserve, located on Caballo Street at the boundary of Rouse Hill and Beaumont Hills, during the previous month.
Despite paramedics’ swift response and efforts, Cornu succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
During the investigation, detectives have already charged two 15-year-old boys for their alleged involvement in this tragic incident.
These two individuals are currently facing legal proceedings.
According to police, both teenagers will remain in custody until after the New Year.
Following further investigations, a 15-year-old boy was arrested at a home in Rouse Hill at about 7.30am today.
He was taken to Riverstone Police Station and was charged with murder.
He was refused bail and will appear before a children’s court today.
