Four shootings have taken place in the ACT in the past six days and police executed search warrants yesterday after revealing the incidents may be linked.
On Thursday, March 27, a gun was fired in a home in Greenway, south of Canberra, which left one person with injuries from the ricochet.
The following day on Friday, March 28, a gun was fired multiple times at a property in Downer, in Canberra’s inner-north.
A pet dog was killed in the shooting.
On Saturday, March 29, police responded to reports a man had been shot at a home on Knox Street in neighbouring suburb Watson.
He was taken to hospital in a serious condition after being shot in the stomach.
The offenders allegedly fled the scene in a dark car believed to be an Audi.
The same home was targeted by a shooting earlier in the week on March 25, police say.
ACT Police believe three men are responsible for all four incidents.
“Police believe these shootings are targeted incidents,” a police spokesperson said.
Search warrants took place in Belconnen and Watson yesterday.
