On Sunday, Nancy Guthrie’s pacemaker ceased its connection with her Apple devices, coinciding with her mysterious disappearance from her residence in Arizona.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos suspects that the 84-year-old Guthrie was kidnapped from her home in Tucson, given her restricted mobility. A law enforcement insider informed Fox News that Guthrie’s pacemaker lost sync with her Apple gadgets around 2 a.m. on Sunday, the time authorities believe she was forcibly taken from her home.
Reports indicate that Guthrie’s phone and Apple Watch were discovered inside her residence. Although she had a doorbell camera, it was reportedly missing when law enforcement arrived at the scene on Sunday.
During a press briefing on Monday, Nanos referred to the Tucson residence as a “crime scene.” Sources revealed to The Post that evidence, including blood and indications of forced entry, suggests Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance is shrouded in foul play.
Nancy Guthrie is the mother of Savannah Guthrie, the 54-year-old co-host of the “Today” show. On Tuesday, Savannah expressed her gratitude to the public, stating, “Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours.”
