The anxious search for a missing 15-year-old boy from New York continues as authorities and family members hold onto hope for his safe return. Thomas Medlin disappeared two weeks ago, apparently embarking on a journey to meet someone he encountered through an online gaming platform.
On January 9, Medlin is believed to have traveled via train from Long Island to New York City. Surveillance footage captured him at the bustling Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan that same day, according to WABC reports. His trail was further traced to sightings in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn on January 10, as reported by News12.
Investigations suggest that Medlin left his home intending to meet a contact from the online game Roblox. Disturbingly, his phone was later discovered in lower Manhattan, though there has been no further communication from him since.
In a heartfelt plea, Thomas’s mother expressed her deep yearning for her son’s return. As she shared with Fox, “Whenever he’s ready to come home, let us know where to pick him up. And he’s not in trouble at all. We love him more than anything.” Her words highlight the family’s unconditional love and readiness to welcome him back without judgment.
Despite the unsettling circumstances surrounding his disappearance, sources informed the New York Post that foul play is not currently suspected in this case. The community and authorities remain on high alert, hoping for Thomas Medlin’s safe and swift return to his family.
