Authorities responded to a shooting incident on Aberdeen Street in Bossley Park around 6:30 a.m. after receiving reports of gunfire in a public area.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that multiple bullets had been discharged into a residence and a white Holden parked outside. The shots were fired from an Audi sedan, which then fled the location.
Investigators suspect that two individuals were involved in the shooting.
Police have since found the Audi believed to be linked to the crime. It was discovered after it had crashed at the intersection of Mimosa and Prairie Vale Road, following a collision with another vehicle that caused it to spin out.
Inside the vehicle, officers reportedly seized what they believe to be an AK-47 rifle.

A crime scene has been established at both locations, with Fairfield City detectives commencing inquiries to locate the driver.
