A 27-year-old man’s body was discovered on a gravel path near a residential area in Yanchep, approximately 56 kilometers north of Perth, around 6:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the location.
Forensic teams swiftly cordoned off the section of bushland along Firke Bend near Grampians Loop as they meticulously searched for evidence.
Law enforcement officers maintained a presence at the scene for over 12 hours.
Detectives canvassed the neighborhood, interviewing locals and reviewing CCTV footage to piece together how the man ended up on the path.
Several residents reported to 9News that they overheard shouting between two men in the bushland shortly before emergency services arrived.
