A man is facing murder charges following the death of a 58-year-old woman who succumbed to her injuries in a Western Australia hospital after being stabbed.
On Friday night, emergency responders were dispatched to a residence on Frederick St in Broome, located in the northern part of the state, amid reports of a woman suffering from severe injuries.
The victim had sustained stab wounds to her neck and was immediately transported to Broome Hospital for treatment.
Tragically, she passed away in the hospital on Saturday.
Authorities claim the incident occurred after an argument between the two, during which the man allegedly stabbed the woman multiple times.
A 56-year-old man has been charged with one count of Aggravated Grievous Bodily Harm and is currently in police custody.

After the woman died, the man’s charges were upgraded, and he was charged with one count of murder.
The man remains in custody and will appear before Perth Magistrates Court today.
