Allanah Samples, 24, has been detained at the Dickson County Jail following allegations of elder abuse and aggravated assault. The incident, described in an affidavit sourced by the Dickson Post, occurred on March 23. Police were dispatched to a residence near Tennessee City, Tennessee, to investigate a report of an elderly woman found bleeding on the floor.

Authorities stated that the victim is married to Samples’ grandfather, who informed them that his granddaughter was responsible for the violent act, using a bat as a weapon.

Upon arrival, deputies from the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office reported that Samples expressed her apologies. She claimed her “mommy” initiated the confrontation with the bat. However, when questioned further, Samples admitted she was not struck during the altercation.

The deputies discovered the elderly woman suffering from head injuries. The victim alleged that Samples was the aggressor, hitting her with a bat on the head and knees. The weapon was found at the scene, and Samples reportedly confessed to her actions.

Deputies found the older woman on the floor suffering from a head injury. She allegedly told the deputies that it was Samples who attacked her, hitting her with the bat in the head and knees.
