A Florida woman is behind bars after police said she launched a blood pressure machine at the ex-wife of her current boyfriend.
Dentia Chatelian, 31, was charged with aggravated battery of an elderly person after police said she allegedly initiated a confrontation with an unnamed 69-year-old woman. According to the arrest report obtained by WPLG, a local ABC affiliate, the older woman is the ex-wife of Chatelain’s current boyfriend. A reason for the March 22 confrontation was not provided, but police alleged that it began when Chatelain followed the older woman, who had been driving to the home of Chatelain’s boyfriend.
Police said in the arrest report that Chatelain followed the older woman as she pulled up to the home and then reportedly made her way inside. The report stated that while in the house, Chatelain allegedly threw a “hard plastic blood pressure machine” at the older woman’s head, which caused bruising. Chatelain also allegedly pushed the older woman down to the ground.
WPLG reported that during the altercation, Chatelain allegedly told the other woman, “I’m going to beat your a– today.”
According to the report, authorities arrived and broke up the fight. Chatelain allegedly told them that the fight had not turned physical, but a witness drew their attention to the blood pressure machine on the ground.
Jail records showed that at the time of the alleged incident on March 22, Chatelain was out on felony bond from separate charges of aggravated battery on an official or employee and disrupting an educational institution. Chatelain was arrested and booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Her next court date was unavailable.
