A woman has been charged over a shooting where more than 30 rounds were fired into a home which had children inside in Sydney earlier this year.

In the early morning hours of May 9, a disquieting incident unfolded on Frank Street in Mount Druitt, drawing police attention around 1:15 am. Authorities received reports of a dark-coloured hatchback from which an unknown assailant unleashed a barrage of gunfire, discharging over 30 rounds into a family’s residence.

Remarkably, the violent attack left the seven adults and four young children inside the home unharmed. The shocking nature of the incident prompted an intensive investigation by law enforcement, leading to the earlier arrest and charging of two men. These suspects are currently navigating the judicial process.

Continuing their pursuit of justice, police conducted a search warrant at a Mount Druitt residence at approximately 6 am yesterday. This operation resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old woman, now facing serious charges. She stands accused of firing upon the home, engaging in activities with a criminal group, and possessing an unregistered firearm.

Community members remain vigilant, hopeful that these legal proceedings will ensure safety and order in their neighborhood. The persistence and dedication of the police force underline a commitment to resolving this unsettling case, as they work tirelessly to hold those responsible to account.

After extensive inquiries and a public appeal for information, police executed a search warrant at a home in Mount Druitt at about 6am yesterday.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested and charged with firing a gun at a home, taking part in a criminal group, and possessing an unregistered firearm.

She was refused bail and will appear in court today.
