Critical Role: The Legend Of Vox Machina Season 2 Release Date & Who’s In Cast?

Critical Role is a tremendously popular Dungeons & Dragons role-playing web show. And its upcoming animated series The Legend of Vox Machina originally started as a fan-supported Kickstarter campaign, which became successful and set the record for the most-funded TV or film project ever.

After the success of the Kickstarter campaign, CR intended to release ten episodes of Vox Machina. Then, Amazon Prime Video came on board and ordered another additional 14 episodes, making it 24 episodes in total across a span of 2 seasons.

When Will It Be Release? 

Presently, no exact release date has been declared for Legend of Vox Machina Season 1, but for a long time, it was generally expected to arrive by the fall of 2020. However, there are also reports of the series getting delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Who Will Be Included In The Cast? 

Critical Role: The Legend of Vox Machina will star the CR cast members that include: Laura Bailey, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien, Taliesin Jaffe, Marisha Ray, Matthew Mercer, Travis Willingham, and Sam Riegel, who are reprising their roles. They all will further act as executive producers alongside Brandon Auman (Star Wars: Resistance), Chris Prynoski (Metalocalypse).

Animation house Titmouse’s Sung Jin Ahn (Niko and the Sword of Light) will act as supervising director.

What Is The Plot About? 

According to CR’s basic storyline description, the story will be centered on a seven-member group of “second-rate, drunken adventurers.” These people are on a mission to save the realm from terrifying monsters and dark magical forces, and during the journey, they discover what it means to be a family.

It’s influenced by the stories, characters, and settings of CR’s first campaign.
