Cameroon picked their ticket for Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 after beating Gambia 3-2 at the Stade de la Paix on Tuesday.

Goals from Karl Toko Ekambi, James Gomez, Christopher Wooh saw the Indomitable Lions pick all three points from the match, after a disallowed Gambia goal in the dying minute.

The first half of the encounter ended with no luck for both sides, but it was Cameroon who had the breakthrough 11 minutes into the second half, with Ekambi’s goal.

However, Gambia responded and quickly took the lead in the 85th minute, bringing the match to 2-1.

Cameroon had to fight their way back into the game two minutes after and succeeded in sealing the victory in the stoppage time.

Meanwhile, the win would have been insufficient if Guinea picked a point in their clash against Senegal, but the defending Champions walloped their opponents 2-0, maintain a flawless record in Group C, with three wins in three games.
